Amour for Bizu

Went to Bizu Patisserie & Bistro with a couple of college buddies for some pastries and chitchat.

The place is nice and cozy, ideal for those after meal cravings or if you’re just in the mood for some sweets.

We got their Amour, Fresh Mango Chiboust, and Blueberry Chiboust. *First ;)*

Amour (P225)

Amour  – Fell in love with this one, the coating of chocolate outside is thin and crisp, break into that and you’d indulge with layers of chocolate mousse, creme brulee, and brownie. Not yet satisfied? Well I was 😀

Others might say it’s too sweet, but for me it’s just right. And I do love that chocolate ribbon on top (it’s dark chocolate so it compliments the sweetness of the filling inside) it’s like a present for you saying ‘come and get me’ or something.

Blueberry Chiboust (P185)

Blueberry Chiboust – One word, creamy! It’s a classic cheesecake topped with blueberry filling. For me a good cheesecake should be creamy on the center and bit cake-ish outside, this is a bit creamy for the most part but it’s still good!

Fresh Mango Chiboust (195)
Fresh Mango Chiboust –  This is definitely my favorite of the cakes we had during our visit, I think the fresh mango is really the key here. Ever had a pastry with mango and you’d think it’s sweet and all but it’s unfortunately sour? Well this is the exact opposite, the fresh mangoes on top is really sweet add that to their creamy cheesecake and you’ll have what I’d like to think a taste of heaven from it 😀
Chocolate Macaroons (P45/pc)
And since I was craving for something more, I got three of their Chocolate Macaroons (P45/pc). This is quite a good macaroon because it’s crunchy on the outside and chewy when you bite into it. But what I like about it is it’s not too sweet. They also have it in a variety of flavors; blueberry, butterscotch, choco mint, coffee, raspberry, rose, chocolate, lemon, mango, pistachio and vanilla.
VERDICT: Bizu Patisserie and Bistro offers good quality pastries, though some may consider it to be a bit too pricey, I really think it’s just right for the quality of food they’re serving. Our stay was a great experience overall and I’d be happy to come back there when I’m craving for nice pastries.

When you dine in, they have 10% service charge. And if you decide to get a cake for a birthday,  they can place a dedication or message for free, it is usually placed in a chocolate card that will be placed on top of the cake you ordered.
