Outback Steakhouse Blue Bay Walk: New Branch, New Butcher Cuts Menu

Outback Steakhouse recently opened a new branch in Bluebay Walk, Macapagal Avenue and it’s got to be one of the more spacious and vibrant concept store that they opened complete with a gorgeous bar area that’s a focal point of the place, also there’s a nice al fresco dining area with an extension of the restaurant’s bar. Also they released this Butcher Cuts line of dishes that’s one of their ever changing limited time offer menu.

Back at Mad for Pizza: For Party Trays and More Beef Belly Goodness

Went back to Mad For Pizza at Il Terrazzo Mall along Tomas Morato to pick up and try some of their party trays, it’s definitely that time of year when we celebrate a number of parties and gatherings with a various group of friends and colleagues and I decided to pick up something here and have a quick lunch before the celebrations.

Party trays good for 20 people, decided to get a platter of their Spaghetti Bolognese, those beautiful strips of their Chicken Crispers and some Disco Fries. Of course a visit at this place wouldn’t be complete without me munching on my favorite beef belly with adobo glaze and rice pilaf.

#MEATOURBLENDS at 8 Cuts – Badass Burgers and Comfort Food

BURGERS – perhaps one of the most universally liked comfort food of limitless possibilities, any number of patty blends, condiments and various other component, each one of us having a preference to what goes into our sandwich. Now put highly customizable options from the meat, the toppings and the sauce and a nice casual vibe to the place I think 8 Cuts Burger Blends take a little bit of everything that’s why it’s one of the more liked / successful burger joint in the metro. Recently they opened their 5th branch in Serendra and I went there for a little catch up lunch with A.

On the table is their Double Cheeseburger, The Piggy of chuck and short rib patties with mozzarella and bacon jam and crisped up bacon strips, a plate of pimped up steak cut fries, and a glass of milkshake, perhaps one of the more preferred beverage pairing to this well-loved sandwich being next only to a nice pint of beer.

TEDDY’S BIGGER BURGERS Greenbelt: Hawaii’s Top Burger Joint Opens First Branch in the Philippines

TEDDY’S BIGGER BURGERS — one of the more popular burger joint from Hawaii opens its first branch here in the Philippines. Burger patties that are made from ground chuck, they have three sizes for the burgers, 5 ounces being the smallest. But if you’re up for the bigger cuts you may want to try the 7 and 9 ounce patties. They have a number of signature burgers while allowing the diner to customize their order with the inclusion of various sauces and toppings. They also have other meals other than burgers, the loco moco being this beautiful concoction of burger patties, sunny side up egg, and gravy over hot rice and a number of chicken wings and sides.

BARRIER EATS: Outback Steakhouse’s New Offerings Filled with Steak and Crab Goodness

BARRIER EATS – Recently Outback Steakhouse released a new line of menu items, available for a limited time only, it’s a shortlist of seemingly good dishes that boast the goodness of their steak with a seafood pairing. The stars of the feast are all items topped with crab, celebrating the sweet, creamy, buttery flavor of this well-loved crustacean, it’s paired with a variety of sauces, and served with different base. I think they really nailed the flavor combinations on this one.

MORE THAN JUST DESSERTS: Scrumptious Dishes of Dulcelin Gourmet UP Town Center

DULCELIN GOURMET UP TOWN CENTER – a place that’s know for their irresistible sweet tooth treats, cakes, pies, and tortes that would make any dessert enthusiast giddy with excitement. I’ve always saw this place as a dessert destination, a haven for your sweet endings; dessert and coffee. My perception of the place changed, big time when we had a feast for lunch there last week, I was surprised of how the menu was extensive and filled with good savory dishes that’s set to impress.

MEAT AND SEAFOOD ON THE BARBIE: BBQ Dinner at the Poolside of Bellevue Alabang

Ever fancy to enjoy your fill of good meat and seafood by the poolside, like the great American BBQ experience? Well I had just that during our stay at B Hotel / Bellevue Hotel Alabang. Good meat and seafood on the Barbie, this is available upon special request, usually when they do special events, they reserve part of the poolside, fresh produce grilled perfectly while you wait.

Back at Outback

Outback Steakhouse Libis — Being situated right smack in the middle of two of the hottest dining destinations in the Metro, this place is often overlooked. But with simple, good food and its interiors that’s exude this very homy, country feel. Their branch at Libis has a lot going on and definitely worth checking out. Now while I’m a big fan of their classic, more popular dishes, I was enticed by their new menu offerings. Some of the old dishes reintroduced and some interesting new ones take stage in their new LTO (limited time offer) menu. And with that I decided that it’s finally time to go back at Outback.

Breakfast Bliss at Pi

Breaking my hiatus with a feature about one of my favorite new restaurants of 2013, Pi: Breakfast and Pies in Malingap Street of Teachers Village, Quezon City. The newest concept of chef and restaurateur Ed Bugia, tucked in this small and meek place that exudes a homey ambiance alongside a whiff of the freshly baked pastries, it really makes for an irresistible combination. A menu consisting of breakfast favorites and sinfully indulgent comfort food and then there’s the signature dessert pies; rustic, homey, and absolutely delicious. What’s not to like?

A personal favorite among the dishes we tried is something that’s so simple but is just so damn good. Caramelized Spam with garlic and kimchi rice topped with a gorgeous six-minute egg and pesto.

Mad Mark’s at Glorietta 5: Affordable Toothsome Dishes

When Mad Mark’s Creamery & Good Eats opened their second branch at Glorietta 5, I got really excited to visit the place and to partake on a variety of ice cream selections and try some seemingly awesome grilled stuff from their menu. You see I’ve been doing food trips long before I started the blog, we had this little foodie group at the office and we usually go to a place and try a bunch of restaurants in the area, one of our first food crawls was along Kapitolyo and Mad Mark’s was one of our stops. Back then they had significantly fewer items on the menu, just some sandwiches and some interesting ice cream flavors. So imagine my excitement when I learned that they finally opened a store in Makati, cravings of their half-baked madagascar and sandwiches suddenly filled my thoughts, urging me to give their new store a quick visit.

IHOP’s Simple All-Day Breakfast Joys

Breaking my hiatus with this long overdue post about IHOP and all its simple all-day breakfast joys. There’s been this juggernaut of anticipation and excitement when people learned that a certain restaurant group is bringing this well-loved breakfast place to the Philippines, and as they opened a couple of months back they were thrown to the lions as the people decided that this is something good, previous experiences, memories of their previous dining experience at IHOP in the US, left this hype(for lack of a better term) over its first branch in the country. A lot of people lined up to get a table during the first couple of months of their operation, hundreds of excited foodies eager to sample their breakfast creations and other comfort food, and as expected there were a number of birth pains, this is the main reason why I delayed this post about IHOP, I wanted to do a feature about it when all that hype subside, as I really believe that food this simple, simple breakfast treats and other comfort food items are not really worth lining up for hours.

Chef Adrian Cuenca of Elbert’s Steakroom and the awesome people from Table for Three, Please partnered up for this themed dinner. A six course feast that celebrate beef and all its meaty goodness.
