Maple – An attempt to elevate American Comfort food by the same restaurant group that brought pancake house and other restaurant concepts. From pancakes and that high grade maple syrup to some ubiquitous breakfast staples and other comfort food fix that’ll probably strike your fancy.
This is their Pancake Tower, stuffed with cream cheese and blueberry pieces, the right combination of sweet and tart, then hit it with that awesome high grade maple syrup, all-day breakfast, comfort food bliss.
Comfort food that’s meant to be shared, that’s the idea behind Bonfire. A new casual dining concept spearheaded by celebrity chef, Tristan Encarnacion. We had a fantastic carnivorous feast here, where we tried a lot of good stuff, primarily proteins. From simple entrées to platters that are good for sharing.
This is their Baby Back Ribs, simple and good. Really tender, succulent meat with a dose of smoky flavor.
COMFORT FOOD — that for me, most often than not, directly translates to succulent pieces of meat, fatty bits – the sinful stuff. Recently we tried this meek restaurant at Il Terrazzo Mall, Tomas Morato. A place that’s called Grandmomma’s Kitchen where they serve some palatable comfort food that’s very simple, all in a laid back, casual dining setup.
This is their Roast Beef — sinful, succulent pieces of meat with the fatty bits melting in your mouth served with a rich mushroom gravy that compliments the flavor packed meat pieces. Simple, slow cooked goodness with every bite.
Of Baby Back Ribs, Steaks, and so much more, we had a bounty feast at Outback Steakhouse. I’m a shameless meat lover, and when craving for ribs and hunks of meat, most often than not, this steakhouse comes to mind. A place that’s famous for their good food, generous servings, and a nice casual ambiance.
This is their Teriyaki Beef Medallions, oh glorious teriyaki marinated steak. Succulent meat and it had this nice hint of sweetness that I really liked.
Was bored one weekend and went to the Greenbelt area to buy some stuff. Then I passed by CHOPS Chicago Steak House and saw that they’re offering this nice weekend buffet, being the shameless meat lover that I am, I can’t pass on that opportunity to stuff myself on awesome steaks so I availed their Lunch Buffet promo.
Sausage + Ribs + Turkey + Various Steak Cuts = One awesome lunch.
This was our first stop from our weekend getaway at Baguio, we had breakfast at 50’s diner, A really interesting place, with retro interiors and classic, restored cars parked outside, it sure help made this look and feel of an old school diner.
This is their Chicken Cordon Bleu, filled with cheezy goodness and other meaty bits – simple and yummy!
I’ve been reading a lot of raves about Cue Modern Barbecue at Bonifacio High Street Central and it’s been at the top of my go-to list ever since. Last Saturday we did a quick food trip around the area, had dinner at ‘Cue and tried a couple of stuff.
