Trying the South Beach Diet with The Sexy Chef

I’m sure all of us gained weight during the holidays, the turn of the new year has always been time for indulging with good food and the festivities and unfortunately, most often than not, it all goes to your belly – literally. It’s quite depressing actually when you think of the pounds you gain. Recently I tried the South Beach Diet with the awesome people of The Sexy Chef, I figured I need to purge some of the weight I gained from the holidays.

This is their gambas of plump shrimp pieces and a side of asparagus. If I learned anything with my one week with this diet, it’s that diet food can be exciting and delightfully filling too. Healthy Indulgence Desserts by The Sexy Chef

Indulgence, desserts, and healthy food – words that usually don’t go together. I recently stumbled upon this food delivery service from the guys of The Sexy Chef, you might remember them (Chef Barni and Rachel Alejandro) as they’re one of the pioneers in the healty food / diet plans here in the country. Tried some of their desserts that any of us can eat without the guilt and these are some of my favorites.

FOODIE.PH Delivery Sundays: Ristras Mexican Grill

I’m starting a new series of posts for the blog — FOODIE.PH Delivery Sundays. I have a love-hate relationship to the fact that I have to go to work on Sundays. Though I really like the hassle-free transportation since most often than not, on weekends the roads are devoid of that nasty rush hour traffic we usually experience during the weekdays. Now my dilemma whenever I have to go to work on a weekend is food, not anyone have a lot of free time to whip up a decent home cooked meal for a packed lunch / dinner and usually during Sundays most of the food purveyors are closed.

For this week I was craving for some good Mexican food so I got these lip-smacking burrito and chimichanga  from Ristras.
