Chef Hasset Go's Bloggers Night at Il Mercanti, Metrowalk

Tried attending a few food events since last month, and it’s fun indeed πŸ˜€ Got invited to Chef Hasset Go’s Bloggers’ Night Event last Saturday (May 5) at Il Mercanti Food Bazaar, Metrowalk.

Got to meet awesome people and fellow bloggers like Yani, KC, Myrns and Cha they were all nice! πŸ˜€

The weather became erratic yet again and started raining before the event, but it didn’t became a hindrance for eager bloggers to attend the said event. They started with a few words by Il Mercanti’s Marketing Manager, Ms. Analou De Castro. And a front act of some sort with Chef Β Nando doing a cooking demo and preparing paella for the attendees to try.

After cooking the dish, he garnished it with some peppers and it was served to the attendees for taste testing πŸ˜€

Then there were performances from Boyz Next Door and Aisaku Yokogawa (You know that guy from the ‘kari’ and ‘poku’ commercial :D) As food from the other stores of the food bazaar was served to the bloggers. I shouldn’t have eaten much, If only I knew we’d be participating on a pastry eating contest *sigh*

Here’s Chef Hasset Go preparing a dish with products from King Sue. And shortly after that he prepared two sets of his pastry towers for the pastry eating contest. Two groups with six members each will race on munching this pastry tower.

Seven revel bars topped with Carat Ganache from Puratos. I actually got Β the top part of this pastry tower, imagine munching on that bar that’s completely coated with the ganache, it’s really overwhelming! I swear I thought I’d die from a diabetic comma afterwards. πŸ˜€ Unfortunately our group didn’t win, but it’s all worth it at least we had fun munching on those yummy bevel bars.

Then for the finale, they showcased the future best sellers of Chef Hasset Go’s Dessert to go.

Sugar free pastries are awesome, you get to indulge without worrying about your blood sugar levels πŸ˜€

Love the color and presentation, would love to try this one. πŸ˜€

Okay malunggay is one of the few vegetables that I’m actually fond of eating so having it as a cake would be a luxury.

And because I loved the pastry tower, a post about MEDCHEF (A pastry shop owned by Chef Hasset) is on its way πŸ˜‰ Had fun, and got to meet a lot of good people (bloggers) and enjoy amazing pastries from a young talented Chef. The bloggers’ night event was a blast
