Desserts at Ma Maison!

After our heavy lunch at Mesa, we went to Ma Maison for desserts, it’s a Japanese – Western fusion restaurant that is under the Bistro Group of Restaurant Concepts.

Have you ever tried a Brazo de Mercedez that’s made from green tea? Read the post, go figure! 😀

We just had desserts here because we were so full, Will do a full review of the restaurant soon! 😀

The place had a good mix of Japanese and Western Design pieces that make for this tasteful and cozy ambiance that’s good. They also have a see-through kitchen that I really like.

We tried their White Chocolate Mixed Fruit Tart and Frozen Green Tea 😀

White Chocolate Mixed Fruit Tart (P195)
White Chocolate Mixed Fruit Tart (P195)

Sweet pastry crust filled with white chocolate cream and topped with mixed fruits.

The white chocolate filling and the crust went well with the fruits, it’s definitely a good treat for the sweet tooth, Though I prefer it to be chilled maybe a bit more? and the white chocolate filling was more on the cake-y side. I guess I’m just used to the usual creamy tarts.

The next one was the was quite the saving grace for our visit. Ma Maison’s version of Brazo de Mercedez, their Frozen Green Tea!

Frozen Green Tea (P185)
Frozen Green Tea (P185)

Four layered frozen dessert with egg meringue, green tea ice cream, custard cream, and graham crust.

This is really a good! The flavors of the four layers just works! The meringue, cream and the graham crust makes this sweet base, and the flavor of the green tea balanced it well. Not a fan of green tea? This frozen green tea treat might help you become a convert, definitely a must-try 😀

    1. This was our stop after Mesa, just had desserts because we’re so full! 😀

Anyway will do a full review of the resto soon, heard they serve good tonkatsu and curry 😀

  1. The prices for each cake slice looks affordable, considering that there’s lots of flavor to it (basing on your review). I also love the design of the cakes, very classy!

  2. Yeah! I wanna try the frozen green tea. I am a fan of brazo and I want to know how was it mixed with green tea.

  3. I haven’t been to Ma Maisson yet, but wow at those cakes! I also haven’t tried ordering just desserts in a resto, but I’ll think I’ll do the same when I visit Ma Maisson.. haha.. 😀

  4. Aw! That frozen green tea looks marvelous! I want to try it. Will definitely do when I get to the Philippines for a vacation. That white chocolate fruit tart looks yum, too.

  5. I love green tea! I am crazy about green tea ice cream and I am sure I would love that Brazo De Mercedes green tea. That looks divine! Thank you for sharing this!

  6. That green tea brazo de mercedes looks like it’s to-die-for! Definitely worth a try if only for its novelty value. And I also love all the other ingredients: custard, meringue, and graham crust! Hmmmmmmmm yum!
