CAFÉ D’ASIE – BELLEVUE ALABANG – A gorgeous buffet restaurant with a lavish spread, a chandelier to welcome you upon entering the restaurant, a nice focal point that leads you to the buffet spread. Good food and great ambiance, another stop at our food-filled weekend stay at B Hotel / Bellevue Alabang last weekend.
Prime rib, grilled fresh seafoods, to various cheese selections and great desserts, a gist of the buffet spread that you’ll enjoy when you try Café d’Asie.
Force of habit, everytime we try a buffet restaurant, the first thing I check in the spread is the carving stations, like a magnet I was drawn to this gorgeous piece of ribeye, served with some homemade fries and a number of sauces. The meat was flavorful enough, with a nice toasted bark giving nice flavors and the meat still very tender and moist.
You may start with a platter of cheese, go with the silky, buttery brie – a personal favorite. There’s also a number of breads, from the soft and sweet dinner rolls, to the more crusty ones.
The Japanese section was quite nice, from the various rolls and makis, you get to enjoy some salmon and tuna tataki too, of course you can go for the plain sashimi.
There’s also a nice salad bar; a mesclun of greens and a number of dressings. But I’m not really a fan of greens, so I skipped them.
Pan fried fish with Florentine sauce and Chicken with Mushrooms
Sweet and Sour Pork (GOOD!) and Beef Stroganoff
Meat and seafood straight from the grill, prawns and squid that’s very tender and some good liempo and chicken pieces.
They also feature a Korean section at the spread, must-tries are the Squid and Beef Bulgogi and the Kimchi Fried Rice.
A nice little ice cream bar; favorites were dark chocolate and mantekado.
The desserts were all eyecady, I was drawn to the rich chocolate cake and the shooters of mango parfait and the chocolate mini-cakes.
But the star of the dessert selection for me was the bread pudding; warm and rich pudding base that I paired with a creamy anglaise and scoops of vanilla ice cream. Since I have this obsession on warm and cold desserts, I just couldn’t resist getting an extra serving of this one. I love that it’s not too sweet and the combination of the warm pudding and the subtly sweet anglaise and the cold relief of the ice cream, good!
Café d’Asie of Bellevue Alabang offers a great buffet experience. The buffet spread was good, so is the quality of the food. I like the look and feel of the place, from the big chandelier as a focal point of the resto, to the dreamy interiors of the buffet selection and the comfy booths at the dining area.
