Finally got the chance to munch on a slice of Nolita’s awesome New York style Pizzas 😀
If you’re looking for a good place to grab a slice of awesome pizza, you might want to check out Nolita at Bonifacio High Street Central.
The place had this modern design that’s accentuated with a couple of wooden pieces for a bit of homey feel. Really liked the lamps on the walls, wish I had some on my room. 😀
We started off with a couple of sides while we’re contemplating on what pizza to get.
Their potato chip fries had this nice tinge of crisp, I really like salty stuff so this was an instant hint for me, that and I’m really like potato snacks and grubs. Some may find their potato chip fries a little bit more on the salty side but it’s good and I really enjoyed it.
They serve awesome onion rings!
First off, it’s more on the salty side and I happen to love salty stuff. Took a bite of their onion rings and I’m really pleased that its cooked to a perfect crisp, then you’ll hit the center with the onions and that’s a little bit sweet and starchy. the nice contrast of texture and taste left me wanting for more. This is not meant for sharing ! (It’s really good and I’d rather not share :p) The sauce on the side helped balance the flavor too, so that’s nice.
We ended up trying ALL the pizza variants available that time; they have 20 pizza variants but they make 6-8 flavors available everyday so depending on when you visit, the availability of the variants may differ.
They serve authentic New York style pizzas; meaning it’s hand tossed that make for this wide, thin and foldable shaped pizza. 😀
Got a bite of their Chicken Parmesan pizza and it reminded me of chicken parmigiana; loaded with cheese and chunks of chicken on a tomato based sauce. Chicken and cheese lovers rejoice! This is an awesome pizza packed with flavors and the meaty goodness of the chicken was really really nice! 😀
Traditional cheeseburger pizza, nothing out of the ordinary. Beef chunks and red onions on a bed of cheese. Don’t get me wrong it’s not bad but there’s nothing that’s mind blowing or spectacular about it. Again if you’re a fan of cheeseburger pizzas, you won’t go wrong with this one.
Traditional pepperoni pizza that I love; smoky pepperoni on a bed of cheese, simple and enjoyable pizza treat. We also tried their Regular Cheese pizza (P130 / slice) good old pure cheese pizza, coupled with the chewy New York style pizza crust, it was quite nice.
Their Buffalo Chicken with Blue Cheese pizza is a definite must-try! I was a bit uncertain on how the flavor of the blue cheese go with it. I for one didn’t have the acquired taste to really enjoy this kind of cheese. But it was surprisingly good. We all raved on how awesome it was. The slightly tangy bits of buffalo chicken went well with the blue cheese. A unique and tasty treat that all pizza lovers shouldn’t miss.
We also got their Spinach and Artichoke pizza but unfortunately I was really full and opted to spare some space for desserts, my friends said it was okay-good though. I would’ve loved to try this one and see how it faired with the awesome meaty ones that we tried.
For desserts we got their White Chocolate Peanut Butter Tiramisu and Funnel Cake.
Layers of creamy white chocolate and peanut butter coupled with a tinge of coffee flavor, and you’ve got a great treat for the sweet tooth. Really liked its melt-in-your-mouth goodness and how the flavors went well together. For peanut butter lovers, this one’s a definite must-try.
Fried batter topped with confectionery sugar and served with whipped cream and their butterscotch dip. Really liked that it’s not too sweet; the butterscotch dip and the confectionery sugar served as the main sweetener. It was a simple and yummy treat for the sweet tooth.
VERDICT: Nolita serves awesome New York style pizzas, really liked their chicken parmesan and buffalo chicken with blue cheese, killer onion rings too. The place definitely desserves a return trip and it would really go on my top picks when I’m craving for pizza.
VALUE FOR MONEY: The food prices here may appear to be a bit pricey for some but I really think it’s really good value for money and you’ll get what you paid for.
