Sambo Kojin at EDSA

Went to Sambo Kojin with some of my office-mates, (Happy birthday Mary!) finally got the chance to dine there and try their buffet! Marbled Beef awesomeness for the win!

I strongly suggest that you make reservations if you plan on trying it out,ย  they’ll give you 30 minutes grace period.

The place is actually simple and clean, no fancy chandeliers and ornaments. but the thing I admired most was their use of chillers. It helped in keeping the food fresh, specially the meat cuts, seafood, and sushi choices.

They have a lot of choices for grilling but I did focus this one, their Marbled Beef choices

Aside from the meat choices, they also have other offerings that you can get and munch on, while grilling the stuff you got.

So I got some Chicken Furai (Furai is food that you usually accompany with alcohol, yeah it’s their version ofย  pulutan) and Nagisa to munch on.

The quality of food is at par, or even better than the other yakiniku buffetย  places I tried.

Their marbled beef choices were great, really liked the bulgogi flavored and the one that is marinated with their signature sambo kojin sauce. They also have plain marbled beef that I seasoned with just salt and pepper and it’s all good!

They have a variety of seasonings and sauces to choose from but some of the food are already well seasoned and is good to go (eat) right after grilling.

I really loved their marbled beef, I finished about 4 plates of it during our stay! ๐Ÿ˜€

I did leave space for desserts and they had really pleasing selections.

I tried their caramel bars, cream puffs, eclairs and cakes. Decided to pass on the ice cream because there was this really long line.

I really enjoyed the eclairs, their yummy chocolate cake, and those apple walnut bread that is not that sweet.

VERDICT: Sambo Kojin offers good quality yakiniku buffet experience, in my honest opinion they really outperform the competition, great food, good service at a reasonable price, that is really worth a return trip.

VALUE FOR MONEY: Good value for money, you get good food and service for a reasonable price, their dinner buffet is priced at P600 so not bad at all!

  1. For the price, it must be really good. I love most of the dishes as they are not the usual ones served in typical buffet places. I don’t think meron nyan dito sa Davao. Might as well try this in one of my trips in Edsa!

  2. I love Sambo Kojin! ๐Ÿ˜€ Been in their Eastwood branch for a couple of times, though I haven’t eaten there for a few months na. Love the Sambo Kojin sauce-marinated beef! I’m definitely craving for some now! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. looks like a good buffet to me coz i like the seafood selections, sushi and dessert! can’t have beef eh. and oh their banchan (side dish) options are very little – i would love more bean sprout and kimchi at least!
