Sophie's Mom Bakery and Confectionary at San Antonio Village, Makati

Have you tried Sophie’s Mom? It’s a nice bakery and confectionary at San Antonio Village, Makati that kind of resembled that fairytale Hansel and Gretel, minus the witch of course πŸ˜€

Part two of our food trip last Saturday, we went here for our sweet ending, straight from DekA. The place had this fun and homey feel that I like, the staff were all nice and very welcoming. They sell cupcakes, cookies, mochi, tarts and all that good stuff for the sweet tooth’s indulgence.

So we tried all of them πŸ˜€ (Yep literally, all the cupcakes, tarts and mochi that they have. We tried them all! :o)

Red Velvet Cookie (P50)

Red velvet cookie that is not too sweet, good contrast with the cream cheese frosting πŸ˜€

Oreo Stookie (P50)

Huge cookies stuffed with Oreo! It’s good! Glass of hot milk please! πŸ˜€

They also have these cheesecakes that looked like a normal cookie.

Red Velvet Cheesecake Cookie (P50)
Oreo Cheesecake Cookie (P50)

Simple and yummy cheesecake cookie treats, it was an instant favorite of mine πŸ˜€

Tres Leches with Mango (P50)

Their Tres Leches with Mango was nice and buttery, we also tried their Tres Leches with StrawberryΒ and it was also good! It’s not too sweet and the pieces of mango were light and refreshing.

Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting (P50)

Nice contrast between sweet and the cream cheese frosting, their Red Velvet Cupcake is something that I really enjoyed πŸ˜€

Flourless Chocolate Cupcake (P50)

Their Flourless Chocolate CupcakeΒ was sinful! Another instant favorite of mine, it’s chocolatey goodness was eye popping.

Dulce de Leche Chocolate(P50)

Classic chocolate on chocolate, a combination that has always appealed to me. Loved it!

Cookie Dough Cupcake (P50)

Though this is not what a conventional cookie dough cupcake would look like, it still has that chocolate and cookie goodness that would entice anyone.

Chocolate Creme Brulee Cupcake (P50)

Creamy and chocolatey! It’s a nice combination you bite into it and you get a chocolate cupcake that is not too sweet, then you hit the creamy center, it’s really a bliss munching on it.

Banana Walnut Cupcake (P50)

classic banana walnut cupcake with chocolate frosting!

Nutella Truffle Mochi (P30)

This one’s my top pick! Definitely a must-try! Gooey mochi outer layer and that OH so good nutella filling is just scrumptious!

Nutella Truffle Mochi with the filling oozed out :O

Trust me a box of these nutella goodies is not meant for sharing! Go try it!

Our plate :O

Aside from the awesome stuff that we tried they also serve breads and some other stuff, in fact their spanish bread is on of their best-sellers. And for those nutella lovers out there, they also sell nutella stuffed bread!

After munching on all of these, we were stuffed and ready to go home, then some freshly made Lemon Blueberry Tart came out, thenΒ  the staff offered it to us, it was an instant YES! πŸ˜€

Lemon Blueberry Tart (P70)

Their Lemon Blueberry Tart is a new product that’s not even on their menu, it’s good with just the right amount of tartness. Good way to end our dessert escapade at Sophie’s Mom πŸ˜€

VERDICT: Had a great time at Sophie’s Mom Bakery and Confectionary. All the pastries we tried were good! And their good service and homey ambiance is definitely a plus. But maybe they can add a few more dining tables *just a suggestion:D*

VALUE FOR MONEY: Good value for money! Go to this place for inexpensive treats for the sweet tooth.

  1. Thank you so much for your feature and review! We’re so glad that you enjoyed the sweet treats. We hope to see you again. You may drop by our kiosk in SM Megamall at the ground floor of Bldg A.

  2. I once had a taste of their red velvet cupcakes and wasn’t too happy with it. I think it’s the frosting. *shrug* Maybe I just prefer my friend’s red velvet cupcakes.

  3. i’ve been hearing about sophie’s mom but i haven’t got the chance to visit it yet!!! i like that their mochi and cupcakes are all affordable!!! πŸ˜€

  4. A foodie friend told about this place and I instantly loved it by just seeing the photos…here again, your photos make me want to go home…gotta try the nutella mochi!

  5. there are two things that makes my mouth watery… thinking about the sourness and sweetness of food. from the pics, ung last and sa tingin ko pinakamagugustuhan ng wife ko… she loves blueberry… Yahweh bless.

  6. The cupcakes looks divine! Gosh, I’ve been missing a lot of foodie places, why do they have to put it all in Makati? I used to work in Makati and spent almost half of my salary eating out. Is the place kid friendly? I have a feeling my daughter will love their goods.
