TEDDY’S BIGGER BURGERS — one of the more popular burger joint from Hawaii opens its first branch here in the Philippines. Burger patties that are made from ground chuck, they have three sizes for the burgers, 5 ounces being the smallest. But if you’re up for the bigger cuts you may want to try the 7 and 9 ounce patties. They have a number of signature burgers while allowing the diner to customize their order with the inclusion of various sauces and toppings. They also have other meals other than burgers, the loco moco being this beautiful concoction of burger patties, sunny side up egg, and gravy over hot rice and a number of chicken wings and sides.
YOMENYA GOEMON GREENBELT – A spaghetti house like no other, serving Japanese-style dishes from pastas, pizzas to some really good sweet and savory luscious meat skewers on a stick, a very good yakitori. I’ve always been curious of the place, seeing their menu there was a lot of items that I wanted to try, unfortunately most often than not, I usually get dragged into the usual suspects in the area when I’m dining with friends so I wasn’t able to try this restaurant even though it’s been in my bucketlist of must-try restaurants for quite a while.Fast forward a few weeks back, we went here for a late brunch, with stomach growling, we enjoyed our fill on some of their dishes, we tried A LOT, honestly I wasn’t able to try them all, but I’m including the ones I tasted and liked on this feature.
A place of familiar flavors with a creative take on our local favorites, Smokin Hot Bar BQ at Greenbelt 3, got my curiosity as it had two of my favorite things ever; grilled specialty on skewers and crispy bacon belly! It’s a new concept by the Bistro Group concentrating on Filipino cuisine, most of the dishes are homage to local specialties; tweaked in terms of presentation while retaining its familiar flavor.
Their signature grilled chicken, slow cooked then grilled; juicy and packed with awesome flavors and THAT CRISPY BACON BELLY! Crisp, flavorful bacon awesomeness with every bite.
Was bored one weekend and went to the Greenbelt area to buy some stuff. Then I passed by CHOPS Chicago Steak House and saw that they’re offering this nice weekend buffet, being the shameless meat lover that I am, I can’t pass on that opportunity to stuff myself on awesome steaks so I availed their Lunch Buffet promo.
One afternoon I was in desperate need of some comfort food, and then I passed by this new pastry place at Greenbelt, that turned out to be Sweet Bella. I’ve wanted to check out their branch at Burgos Circle and try some of their pastry creations for quite some time now. Fortunately they opened one in Greenbelt 5, it’s a lot closer to the office and I can drop by anytime for my sweet tooth cravings.
I’ve been reading a lot of good write-ups about Bulgogi Brothers, mostly raving recommendations so I’ve been wanting to try it for quite some time. Recently they opened a new branch at Harbor Point Mall, Subic so we did a little road trip and had lunch at their Subic branch.
This is their Premium Boneless Short Ribs, what’s awesome is; it taste as good as it looks. Continue reading Bulgogi Brothers: Good Korean Food Fix!
When Ma Maison launched their new Katsu offerings they decided to do it with a BANG and had a 50% off on their new offerings, being a big katsu fan myself, I did not hesitate to have this much needed return trip. I dragged one of my closest friends with me; a friend foodie / blogger, Rakee. We call each other bully. 😀
Bully’s favorite katsu set – Seafood katsu with prawns, fish, and squid.
Indulged in good food at Ma Maison, where we tried their Japanese-Western dishes. I was with PH and some other good people. Nothing beats good food and chitchat with friends. 😀 Yummy escargots baked with garlic butter! I’m not really a fan of crustaceans, but it was really good, enough to make me a convert. 😀
Went to Zuni at Greenbelt for dinner and enjoyed their contemporary Mediterranean cuisine 😀 Continue reading Zuni Restaurant and Wine Bar at Greenbelt
After our heavy lunch at Mesa, we went to Ma Maison for desserts, it’s a Japanese – Western fusion restaurant that is under the Bistro Group of Restaurant Concepts.
Have you ever tried a Brazo de Mercedez that’s made from green tea? Read the post, go figure! 😀
Mesa Filipino Moderne has been one of my top go-to restaurants, certainly a favorite of mine when I’m craving for good Filipino food. So yesterday I tagged my cousin Amy and we did indulge!
