Pitmaster’s Smokehouse BBQ in Kapitolyo, Pasig

PITMASTER’S SMOKEHOUSE BBQ – I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this new BBQ joint in Kapitolyo so imagine my excitement when we finally went there the other day for dinner. They have an extensive menu but of course the main star was the smoked meats that’s available in three types of sauce base – Apple (Sweet), East Capitol (Spicy) and Hazelnut (nutty).

We got the brisket, smoked bacon, ribs and chicken along with some sides to go with it. Both the kimchi rice with sous vide egg and truffle fries were quite good…. BLACK OLIVE – One of the original restaurant that opened in the Capitol Commons area before – I really liked their simple, no non-sense approach to food. BLACK OLIVE PAELLA – The deep flavour of their paella starts with a good sofrito that’s made of aromatic ingredients that builds up the flavour that marries well with the seafood bits that it’s cooked with. DyceNDyne in Kapitolyo: Board Games and Good Food

If you love board games DyceNDyne in Kapitolyo, Pasig must be on your go-to list of restaurants, aside from the wide array of game titles that are available for diners, they actually serve good food there. A recent visit had us playing games until wee hours and filled with good grub that takes inspiration to some of the owners’ favourite board games.

DyceNDyne_kapitolyo_bora-bora_bacon_tempuraA personal favourite from the stuff that we tried, their Bora Bora Bacon Tempura of savoury bacon pieces coated in tempura batter and then deep fried until crispy, then they topped it with some nori and served with maple syrup.
