I went to The Enterprise Center and got a couple of empanaditas from Empanada Mas!
They have a small stall at the food park of TEC’s (The Enterprise Center).
I got a box of 30 pcs, and asked them to make it an assortment of their flavors. They have Semisweet Chocolate, Peanut Butter Fudge, Cream Cheese and Chives and Cheddar Cheese. They also have Nutella version of their empanaditas.
Take note that their nutella empanadita is a premium seasonal flavor so they price it differently, you can get half a dozen for P65.
Their semisweet version of the mini empanada fell short, I kept comparing it to their nutella variant. It has chocolate chip filling inside.
Mini empanada stuffed with cheeddar cheese, it has sharp flavor from the cheese but the semisweet flavor of the chewy empanada dough balanced it well.
Their cream cheese and chive variant was really nice, the emapanaditas were served hot so when you bite into it the cream cheese and the hint of chives just bursts with flavor.
The peanut butter fudge is my top pick! It’s creamy and rich each packed with peanut butter goodness! I did finish them first, I just can’t help it! 😀
Yes their Nutella variant was good, I’m a big fan of nutella so that’s given. But I really think it’s a bit pricey, you could get more value for your moeny and just settle with a small jar of nutella and a loaf of bread.
Empanada Mas also have normal sized empanadas that are savory treats, I tried their Ham and Cheese with jalapeno once and really liked it.
VERDICT: Their empanaditas are really good ideal for quick snacks, merienda, or pasalubong.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Except for the nutella variant, the emapanaditas are fairly priced. But if your willing to splurge to try it, it’s okay, their empanaditas are good and is worth your money.
